Manager, Quality Control

A growing pharmaceutical firm that I am currently working with inWaltham,MAis seeking a Manager of Quality Control. At this mid sized pharmaceutical firm you will be given the opportunity to oversee and be surrounded by knowledgeable and dynamic employees. The Manager of Quality Control will be overseeing the QC department and providing career development to all direct reports. You will also be overseeing the QC raw material team and work with other QC managers for resourcing all QC activities.

The Manager of Quality Control will havea number of responsibilities within the QC department. Representing the QC department at cross-functional meetings, assisting in writing regulatory documents, and using your leadership skills to develop QC raw material staff.

The QC Manager will also be largely responsible for tracking analytical methods and using their industry knowledge to assist in assay transfer, qualification, and raw materials. In addition, you will be overseeing internal and external QC raw material labs while also working with analytical development groups to ensure transfers, validations, and assay development.

Qualifications Include:

- BS Degree in chemistry or biology (advanced degree is preferred)
- 7 years of experience including experience in a leadership role and in the pharma/biotech industry
- Experience in raw material testings, control and release and LIMS
- Ability to interpret USP and EurPh
