Our client is a leading Management Consultancy based inLondonwho provides a unique service and consulting solutions to the Energy, Power and Utilities markets.

The management consultant will focus on the commercial power markets working with energy majors and financial institutions to support their needs on various projects including M&A, Corporate Finance, Corporate Strategy and Project Finance. The role will also include performing financial and economic analysis looking into the fundamentals of the commercial power markets including interpreting, analysing and forecasting macroeconomics.

Whilst being extremely client facing, the management consultant will develop and use quantitative forecasting models and financial tools to support the economic analysis provided by the team.

This role will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to join an extremely commercial part of the business focusing much of the time on Corporate Finance, Investments and M&A. Whilst continuing to develop a career in the management consulting space, this role will provide the opportunity to build your network and liaise with industry leaders and benefit from some of the best training and coaching the sector has to offer.

The successful candidate will posses:

- A strong numerate degree in ideally engineering, economics or other mathematically rigorous disciplines from a top tier University.
- Experience within the Commercial Power Markets (exposure to power generation is also ideal).
- An analytical mind set along with the quantitative and conceptual problem solving experience.
- Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong Excel ability / Exposure to Financial Modelling are desirable.
- North European Languages (French, German, Scandinavian) are desirable.
