Management Accountant/Financial Accountant

I looking to hire a "MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT" for one of our public sector client based in Oxford. Role spec below. Many thanks.

CONTRACT: 5 MONTHS (WITH POSSIBLE EXTENSION)

RATE: UPTO £415 PER DAY

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- Extensive experience in a Financial Management Account or Estates environment substantiated by a proven track record.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience of Oracle R12.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understanding the composition of budgets and forecasts at a more granular level then currently available to provide budget managers the tools to monitor and control their budgets

The role requires a proactive individual who is highly organized with strong analytical and communication skills. Prior knowledge of Oracle R12 is strongly preferred.

Working closely with CSD Senior Leadership Team and the Finance Team, duties will include:

- Review of current reporting and its shortfalls
- Review of current cost recording
- Review of how we currently use Oracle Project Accounting
- Review of what is currently available in Oracle Project Accounting
- Review of what developments are possible within Oracle/Hyperion reporting
- Reach agreement on the level of reporting appropriate to supporting each of the Directorates' Divisions
- Reach agreement on the best appropriate architecture to capture costs for control and reporting purposes
- Review of 2014 & 2015 financial transactions and allocate to new architecture for comparative purposes.
- Assist in building 2015/2016 budget following new architecture
- Develop specific Oracle user training packs for budget holders and business support staff
- Train key users in inputting data and retrieving Oracle OBIEE reports

(Note the financial information is held in Oracle R12, there will be minimal scope to develop beyond the current configuration and reporting tools)

DESIRABLE: (NOT MANDATORY)

- Knowledge of Oracle Project Accounting and Hyperion.
