Management Accountant

An exceptional opportunity for a motivated part-qualified management accountant to join the highly profitable financial services division of this FTSE 100, based in Beckenham. Initially to cover maternity for a fixed 12 month period this is a varied role with good scope for further opportunity.
Responsibilities include:-
* Prepare accurate monthly financial results for three business units, including detailed P Analyse variances in results and provide feedback to management in a timely manner.
* Produce accurate annual budgets for income and costs, and update forecasts regularly, as necessary.
* Monthly business reviews with business managers and other non financial staff
* Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, WIP and deferred income, and maintain back-up schedules; prepare and post ad hoc journals, including intercompany transactions.
* Analyse income lines to ensure accurate billing; liaise with Billing Team and Business Units where appropriate.
* Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts; provide back-up and ensure the validity of entries.
* Produce accurate 3 year Business Plan for the three business areas
* Completion of Regulatory returns
* Review of VAT returns and answer any queries from Group Tax
* Production of reports for the Group finance function.
* Produce year end pack for three business units and liaise with External Auditors as and when required
The Management Accountant should be ACCA / CIMA part-qualified, at least two exams completed at intermediate level, strong Excel skills and solid management accounting experience. Experience in Work in progress & deferred income is also required.
