Maintenance Technician

Perform general building maintenance to include plumbing, painting, dry wall repairs, fabrication, and general mechanical skills. Maintain current assets with minimal impact to budgeting. Support Predictive/Preventive Maintenance programs for the site, by meeting target dates. Support site projects to minimize interruptions to business activities. Participate on teams to drive continuous improvement projects. Ensure all contractors are trained in site safety requirements, prior to performing work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support site employees by timely completion of work request and follow up.
- Support site services during events in planning, set-up and teardowns.
- Inspect, test and document all safety Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Manage outside services in the absence of team lead or supervision.
- Support team in site renovation work with dry wall repairs, painting, and repairing general building plumbing.
- Ensure safety compliance of personnel and contractors.
- Learn and maintain computer skills to support company programs.
- Comply with safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
- Maintain maintenance KPI's for Site Service performance indicators.
- Demonstrate good communication skills.

SKILLS:

3-5 years of strong on the job experience in a plant maintenance environment.

High School diploma or equivalent

Journeyman or Apprenticeship status in skilled trades -preferred

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.

General computer skills, SAP knowledge a plus.

Strong customer focus and team working skills

Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with site employees and contractors.

Prior work experience in a Maintenance Apprenticeship Program and Facility/Operational Maintenance

Knowledge of tools and equipment used to repair facility equipment

Basic equipment/machine repair knowledge and use of power tools.

Knowledge in plumbing, electrical and pneumatics systems

Basic knowledge to read schematic drawings and electrical prints

Ability to lift 50-60 pounds required

Ability to use a Fork-lift/Fork Truck required

Process Development and maintenance experience a plus

Ability to stand and walk a majority of the time

Ability to pass required Mobile Equipment Operator physical exam

Ability to use Air-Purified Respirators during tasks
