Maintenance & Reliability Team Leader Urgently Required

My clients a global oil & gas Operator have an immediate requirement for an experienced Reliability & Maintenance Team Leader to join their team.

The position will be based in Aberdeen and is being offered on an initial 12 month contract basis with view of extension beyond this.

The Role:

* Supervise support engineers and technical personnel to ensure that appropriate levels of maintenance is being carried out.
* Ensure that strategies and routine changes are carried out and continuously improved.
* Support the assets and Onshore Maintenance support team in regards to reliability improvements.
* Provide guidance and mentoring of the maintenance staff.
* Conduct Root Cause analysis if Top Tier equipment failures.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities:

* Provide overall coordination of the maintenance reliability and change control team.
* Conduct reliability analysis of the asset equipment and provide timely reporting.
* Provide guidance on technical issues, work processes and organisational issues.
* Ensure technical quality of work is maintained and provide review if the work involves safety critical aspects or could have potential business impact.
* Provide technical leadership and input to maintenance builds.
* Support development of vendor maintenance strategies and routines.
* Assist in development of maintenance budgets
* Drive improvements in the use of SAP and associates work processes
* Work with Engineering departments and the asset teams to ensure that key requirements and opportunities are addressed.
* Participate in regular meetings with key vendors and contractors to ensure a high level of service is continuously achieved.
* Attend asset maintenance meetings to provide progress update of maintenance activities.
* Stand in for maintenance manager where required.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

* Ideally you will hold an Engineering degree in suitable discipline however sufficient experience in the industry in a similar role will be taken into consideration if no degree has been gained.
* Good knowledge of oil and gas related projects, systems and equipment is essential.
* Minimum 8-10 years experience working or in support of an on / offshore operation.
* 3 Years experience in a senior / supervisory position.
* Excellent knowledge of SAP (or equivalent) computerised maintenance management system.
