Maintenance Mechanical Engineer

Our client is looking for a maintenance fitter to join their team.

As a maintenance fitter you will be involved in the installation and maintenance of machinery used to produce the end product being recycled animal products for the use in animal feed.

Working in challenging conditions where temperature can reach high volumes.

The position is very physical and can involve high element of heavy lifting and agile movement.

Main Duties:

To install and maintain new and existing equipment ensuring production is not interrupted
Risk assessing all jobs before work begins
To assisting in any other duties and ad hoc projects when required
Complete all logs and job spec sheets as requested
Ensure all work to be completed to a high standard in a safe and competent way to ensure safety of all personnel, this to include leaving the work are clean and tidy on completion of work.

Experience needed:

Heavy engineering ie welding, binding
Previous experience of working within a waste environment would be advantageous
Ideally have a CGLI or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
Analytical and problem solving skills will be required

Required to work 45 hours per week on rotating pattern plus night call once every 4 weeks and 1 in 4 Saturday work also required.
