Mainframe Programmer/EDI Data Mapping Consultant

JOB TITLE: Mainframe Programmer/EDI - DD50497

LOCATION: Lake Oswego, OR  97035

CONTRACT LENGTH:  6months +

CONTRACT TERMS: W-2

JOB DESCRIPTION:

-

Duties include mapping data files to and from ANSI standard X12 format.
-

The tool used for this mapping is WDI, but familiarity with any mapping tool is a plus.
-

Familiarity with basic file transfer protocols.
-

Duties may also include some project meeting activities.
-

Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs, tests and debugs programs.
-

Participates in the overall system testing.
-

Supports the implementation of the application changes into production.

SKILL SET:

Current use of Mainframe programming languages, and other Mainframe utilities/tools.
-

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of structured project methodology a must.

Strong attention to detail with outstanding problem solving skills.

The ability to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Required Experience: IBM Mainframe JCL

Required Education: 4 year degree or 7 years of experience, in lieu of a degree

Skills to be successful in this role: IBM Mainframe JCL, utilities, X12
