Mainframe Developer Engineer

MAINFRAME DEVELOPER ENGINEER.

For one of my globally leading financial clients is urgently looking for a DUTCH SPEAKING Mainframe Developer Engineer for a long contract based out of their offices in Amsterdam.

THE SUCCESSFUL MAINFRAME DEVELOPER ENGINEER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Banking/Financials background experience.
* z/OS
* Installation and maintenance (SMP/E)
* Installing, configuring and managing MQ on the Mainframe
* Processing SMF data with TDS
* Agile, scrum and DevOps

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS
. IBM subsystems (eg DB2, CICS, IMS, TWS, System Automation)
* 3th party subsystems (eg Endevor, Control-D, View Direct, XFB)
* z/OS security (RACF)
* HDS Storage; backup/restore, Disaster Recovery
* DFSMS
* Parallel sysplex
* z/OS System Support activities (performance, maintenance)
* Monitoring/Automation/scheduling/Administration (CMDB)
* ITIL
* REXX Scripting
* JCL
* Agile
* Excellent Dutch communications skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will prepare new versions of our clients operating system and all subsystems (like DB2, CICS, IMS and TWS) You solve vulnerabilities and automate system management wherever possible. You make sure everything our client does is repeatable by making reliable scripts for all changes on their system. You are responsible for securing the system to the latest standards. Encryption, SSL and SSH have no secrets to you. You are able to tune the system to the required specs, and you are a great trouble shooter. You test all changes thoroughly and you are responsible to automate these tests where possible. You are responsible to implement necessary changes on all DTAP LPAR's as non-disruptive as possible. Minimizing downtime is in your blood. You deliver standard, self-service infrastructure services to the Infra NL consumers together with your squad and Infra Area. You are able to move all typical user stories and tasks from "To-Do" to "Done".

CONTRACT: 10months +
LOCATION: Amsterdam
