Major Programs is a portfolio within EA established to deliver larger scale application projects focused on 'changing the business'. The Major Programs portfolio is maintaining a five-year view of a program of work to evolve our core systems by further developing enterprise-wide systems technology and business processes. It aims to have no more than three releases approved and running concurrently at any point in time.

The work in Major Programs is being scheduled as six major releases through to January 2017. The Client Register Team in the Revenue Management Branch of EA is supporting Major Programs through this period and requires the services of 2 Mainframe Developers.

They will utilise information system development and maintenance processes and methodologies to complete tasks. In addition to possessing highly developed Cool:Gen, Cobol or Telon programming skills, the contractor will possess experience in large scale development application and maintenance covering both batch and online in a CICS DB2 Mainframe environment using large data holdings.

These existing roles are located in Canberra and Brisbane (one in both locations) with the successful Candidates being required to possess a current In-Confidence clearance or have the ability to acquire this clearance in a timeframe that would not prove detrimental to this program of work.
