Machine Controls Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

- The Machine Controls Agency Engineer shall execute day-to-day work activities as planned by the Lead Machine Controls Engineers on the relevant team.
- The Machine Controls Agency Engineer should manage the requested work and time-frames and communicate back to the Lead Engineer any task that will not be completed in the requested time frame, and shall propose an alternate completion time.
- The Machine Controls Agency Engineer should bring to the attention of the Machine Controls Supervisor any conflicts in requested work that cannot be easily resolved through discussion with the requesting Engineers.

TASKS/DELIVERABLES

- Building, troubleshooting, and repairing test hardware (harnesses, connectors, Switches, electrical/electronic components & systems, etc.)
- Troubleshooting electrical and/or electronic issues on machines
- Installing and removing test hardware on machines
- Flashing software on machines
- Executing basic software tests on machines

Machine Controls Agency Engineers will be expected to be expert level users with electronic development software tools including:

- Electronic Technician
- CadetWin & Cadet
- CANape

SKILLS:

SKILLS

- In addition, Machine Controls Agency Engineers will be expected to have excellent written & verbal communication ability and some skill in each of the following areas:
- Electronic/electrical system design and testing
- Information Technology or Electronic Service Tools
- Mobile equipment electrical wiring modification and repair
- Instrumentation setup
- Heavy Equipment Operation
- Basic electronic testing using Digital Volt/Ohm Meters, Digital Oscilloscopes, Function Generators
- PC applications including Word and Excel

EDUCATION:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Five to seven years of engineering experience required.
- Ideal candidate will have a background with farming experience
