M&E Project Director

The role is to oversee and manage the design process and deliver midsized Data Centre Design & Build Projects (1MW - 10MW schemes) through a combination of direct project management or providing an overseeing role.

Key to success of this role is the ability to deliver technical excellence and robust designs to statutory and mandatory regulations as well as the latest thinking in Industry best practice.

The team will be established with some existing staff, shared resource and new hires as required and supported by the rest of the business.

THE ROLE

- The person will be responsible for the following key activities, predominantly for larger D&B projects but also supporting small works activities and Service teams.
- M&E design for mid-sized Data Centre Projects from Concept to completion
- Design coordination of M&E and associated building services
- Manage delivery of the project within budget and program
- Management & selection of sub contractors
- Management of Integrated System Testing
- Support Sales & Pre sales in Conceptual design, tender costing & feasibility studies
- Provide technical sign off small works activities and technical support for the Service team
- CDM and Health & Safety on site

- Assure technical excellence & compliance in Design
- Assure quality of installation and robust design verification & commissioning
- Assure accuracy of all Project Documentation including Design pack, IST, RAMS and O&M's
- Design coordination & Technical sign off
- Management of internal, external & contract Resource to meet business demand
- Internal staff cost/time management and project cost control
- Regular project reporting
- Management of in house installation teams
