LTE Radio Optimization Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Engineering or other relevant Technical Degree

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The LTE Radio Optimisation Engineer will be responsible for Optimisation and Acceptance of Customers 4G LTE Network within a specified region

-       Fundamentals of LTE Radio Network Optimisation - specifically with Ericsson equipment
-       Use of Radio Planning Tool (ATOLL or ASSET)
-       Analysis and improvement of Key Performance Indicators
-       Knowledge of Business Objects and similar statistical data tools
-       Neighbour Planning for new sites
-       Analysis of Datafill for new sites, including recommendations for initial parameter settings.
-       Integration of the new technology with existing 2G and 3G networks
-       Optimisation of LTE Sites and Clusters leading to Customer Acceptance
-       Analysis of drive tests
-       Mentoring of Junior Engineers through knowledge transfer

SKILLS REQUIRED

-       LTE Radio Network Optimisation - specifically with Ericsson equipment
-       Knowledge of LTE RAN Equipment
-       Knowledge of Business Objects or similar statistical tools
-       Experience working with Performance Management and Radio Network Optimisation aspects of OSS, specifically Ericsson.
-       Excellent documentation skills, to prepare sites and clusters for customer acceptance
-       Experience working in Network Rollouts, with demanding customer targets and deadlines
-       Expert in Data manipulation
-       In depth understanding of 2G,3G and LTE air interface standards
-       Knowledge of IP, Transmission, and Core Engineering desirable
