Logistics Manager (Must have SC Clearance)

I am looking to hire a Logistics Manager for our Defence sector client

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Working to the SO1 Transportation Policy as a member of the Transport and Movements Policy Team, support the development of coherent Client policy, with specific responsibility for policy on Rail and ISO Containers.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

- Act as the focal point for the update and development of Joint Service Publication (JSP) 800 Volume 6 (Management and Use of ISO Containers) and JSP 790 (Client Rail Safety Management)
- As part of the Policy Transition Programme, act as the lead for the conversion of these publications on the Defence Logistic Framework
- Secretary to the Distribution User Group.
- Provide cover for other desks within the Transport and Movements Policy Team during periods of leave or other absence.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by SO1 Transportation Policy.

ESSENTIAL:

- Must be computer literate
- Must have some knowledge of containers and Rail
- Must be able to answer/take and develop questions to email/telephone
