Logistics Clerk

WORK HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY: 8A - 5:00P SOLID MATH SKILLS AND COMPUTER SKILLS. ABILITY TO LIFT UP TO 50 LBS.

MRP Planning Clerk:
The Material Requirements Planning Planner is responsible for ensuring production materials are ordered to support production schedules for all DS&O customer demand. Responsible for material requirements planning activities within established procedures/limits, for one or more sourcing categories and/or locations, including executing procurement planning transaction processes and managing inventory/procurement records, providing location procurement support and planning, managing supplier events and relationships, and implementing sourcing strategies. This position will collaborate with supply chain planning, production scheduling, purchase order processing team, and operations to ensure proper execution, revising and republishing plans as necessary. Will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting procurement metrics. Will be responsible for issuance and monitoring of purchases orders for select raw materials.

Closely coordinates with Supply & Demand Teams, Scheduling, Material Coordinator, Sales, Production, Product Development, Operations, Warehousing and Transportation to ensure adequate materials are available to support production/operational requirements while maintaining logical inventory levels. Includes but is not limited to the following activities:
Review of SAP Material Requirements Planning reports/screens and flagging of system generated requisitions for creation of purchase orders by PO Processing Team(s)
Manual creation of planned orders in SAP, and conversion of those orders to requisitions for purchase order creation to support purchases of new products that may not yet be MRP planned
Adjusts delivery requirements for ordered materials as a result of changes to production schedules, inventory levels, and any other situations that may cause such adjustments to be needed
Creates requisitions for blanket purchase orders for materials as determined and directed by BU Procurement Team
Creates purchase orders and executes contract call offs for certain assigned raw material categories, and monitors inbound delivery of such orders
Monitors finished good buy ins and execute orders to support process.

Manages assigned procurement related aspects of the Commercialization process. Recognizes and assists Supply Chain team in managing risks (financial, supply, legal and/or operational) associated with new materials/products. Coordinates new product components purchases including ingredients and packaging to support the commercialization process (PC101) and completes required steps in PC 101 process. Engages appropriate resources to reach proper resolution/authorization. Completes new and ending liabilities and approval to purchase.

Monitors and tracks supplier performance, communicating monthly to Strategic Sourcing and BU Procurement Manager to factor data into future award of business decisions. Assist in implementing Select Supplier Agreements, which includes issuance of orders to appropriate Select Supplier for designated purchase category.

Responsible for managing ingredient, packaging and MRO materials returns/damaged goods/CRTS. Internal contact for supplier non-conformances eg CRT, documentation, and coordinates returns with PO Processing Team(s).

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
1+ years (combined) experience in the following functions: supply chain, transportation and logistics, or procurement
Demonstrated organizational skills and high attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and act with a sense of urgency
Ability to identify and communicate information required to make sound business decisions across many functions
Experience with the Adage ERP or SAP
Proficiency in standard business applications (eg MS Office suite)
Aggressively ensures adherence to established business processes

Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate degree concentrating in mathematics, supply chain, or operations management
3+ years (combined) experience in the following functions: supply chain, transportation and logistics, or procurement
Proven robust quantitative background, including optimization modelling and coding experience
Demonstrated ability to influence colleagues without authority
Knowledge of and experience using SAP's Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) interfaces
Demonstrated behaviors consistent with Leadership
