My client seeks a Medically qualified Consultant in Public Health to lead on the commissioning of screening and immunisation programmes in the North East working to improve performance and coverage as well as providing system leadership.

The successful Consultant in Public Health will lead on the monitoring and surveillance of screening and immunisation programmes at a local, regional and national level.

The Public Health Consultant will:
* Manage the public health screening and immunisation team members jointly with the another consultant.
*Be expected to make a contribution to public health networks in their area as appropriate eg cancer, vascular, child and maternal health.
*Be expected to be available for on call arrangements as appropriate depending on local arrangements.
*Will manage Specialty Registrars in Public Health.

To be considered for this role you MUST be medically registered and have leadership experience.
