AWARD WINNING AGENCY Medilink Consulting are currently recruiting on behalf of a Large NHS Trust in the South East for a locum Consultant Gastroenterologist.

Job Title: Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist . Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5

Duties:

•Multidisciplinary team work is envisaged as a key component of the working of this Trust and will involve Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) discussion with other colleagues.
•
•The post holder will participate in out of hours consultant cover on a rota compliant with the European Working Time Directive. On-call responsibilities will involve multidisciplinary team working for all acute admissions referred to the unit.
•
•Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care.
•
•Development of sub specialty interests that fit in with Directorate needs and the strategic direction of the Trust, including active participation in audit.
•
•Responsibilities for carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties are required, and for contributing to undergraduate and post-graduate and continuing medical education activity.
•
•Provision of cover for Consultant colleagues' periods of leave in accordance with arrangements agreed within Trust policy.
•
•Participation in clinical audit and in continuing medical education.
•
•Undertaking ward rounds as appropriate.
•
•Providing evidence-based care for patients in a multidisciplinary setting.
•
•Conducting suitable duties in cases of emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
•
