Litigation Manager (Maternity Cover)

I am recruiting for a Litigation manager to work within the property department of a leading telecommunications company to cover a maternity contract.

As the Litigation manager you will provide dispute resolution advice to the business and in particular the Estates team to satisfy best practice, mitigate risk and control costs to ensure all litigation spend is within budget. Advice to include all matters relating to landlord and tenant legislation within the UK and Code rights. You will be responsible for the management and resolution of hostile and non-hostile notice to quit sites, breaches of agreement (landlord or tenant breaches), rent review arbitration's and access issue resolution.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Providing a trusted interface with other areas of the business to support seamless management of the portfolio whilst reducing the exposure to high legal fees and/or damage claims to the reputation of the business or it's shareholders. To ensure all best value is achieved in a commercially prudent manner.
- Monthly reviews of the on-going difficult lease renewals and rent reviews to ensure that activity is resolved in a timely and cost effective manner and alternative options are being considered and escalated as necessary to limit the risk to the business.
- Reviews deals submitted for short term leases or consent orders and escalate appropriately.
- Work closely with the NTQ Acquisition team to ensure that shareholders are advised of the possible loss of coverage.
- Establish best practice processes for managing litigation resolution and ensure compliance within the team.

Experience we are looking for in the role includes:

- Recent knowledge and experience of Estate Property Management or Property Dispute Management.
- Preferably telecoms knowledge and experience.
- Experience of dispute resolution systems (including Court processes)
- Commercial knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge and experience of Law of Property, including landlord and tenant legislation across the UK.
