LINUX/UNIX SYSTEMS ENGINEER FOR MIGRATION TO SUSE LINUX

LINUX/UNIX SYSTEMS ENGINEER required for migration of Informatica PowerCenter based Information Integration Platform from Sun Solaris onto SUSE Linux. With excellent knowledge of Linux infrastructure design and architecture (including storage concepts, security, process automation, high availability, etc.) you will provide a solid infrastructure design meeting the requirements with respect to performance, stability and availability. Following this you will take care about the migration of existing Shell Scripts from Sun Solaris onto Linux including Platform support and automation scripts and application/user scripts.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

- Excellent and proven (SUSE) Linux infrastructure design and architecture skills including deep knowledge of virtualisation concepts (ESX), storage concepts (SAN, vmfs, ext3) are a must.
- Shell Scripting, performance and capacity management and documentation skills are core competencies.
- Good knowledge about information integration/ETL concepts are preferable (Informatica PowerCenter).
- Strong English written and verbal skills are mandatory in order to be able to collaborate with Team members and compile technical documents.
- We are looking for a strong Team player and an open minded person.
