Linux Systems Administrator, Engineer, Red Hat, Unix, RHCSA

Red Hat Linux System Administrator/Engineer with some multi-platform experience. The primary responsibility will be to manage the Red Hat Linux within a multi-platform infrastructure (Sun Solaris, RedHat Linux and MS Windows).

Responsibilities for the Systems Administrator include:
*Specifying, configuring and implementing all Red Hat Linux environments.
*Day-to-day support of the Red Hat Linux based production and development server environments.
*Providing technical support to development & infrastructure projects.
*Included in production support, 7am-8pm on shift basis. Included in the overnight on-call support on a rota basis.
*Maintaining full documentation of systems, fault resolutions, and incident investigations.
*Testing of new software releases, patches and upgrades.
*Liaising with other technical support teams (Windows, DBA, Storage, Network, etc.)
*Liaising with development groups to ensure standards are adhered to.
*Establishing effective lines of communications.

Knowledge and required experience
The Linux Systems Administrator should have at least 3-5 years Linux Red Hat System Administration experience in a large sized UNIX environment, preferable in wholesale, investment banking organisation or retail bank organisation.

*Capacity & Performance Monitoring & Management
*Methodical fault finding
*HDS disk storage (SAN storage in general)
*iSCSI storage
*Solaris 10 zones & zfs
*Veritas Volume Manager/Files-system
