Linux Systems Administrator

For a major international client in the Lausanne area, we are looking for a LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR to manage the day-to-day operations of the underlying infrastructure for our client's bioinformatics solution.

Responsibilities will include:

- Working with the vendor to ensure backups, hardware and network are working effectively
- Managing storage (NAS, SAN, DAS)
- Account administration (new accounts, DNS, shares)
- Working with other admin staff for self organising team to meet requirements (related areas - DBA, key app management, dev team)
- Managing the software environment (new package installation, user environment, software version management)
- Monitoring and reporting on overall system health

Candidates must have good experience in at least THREE of the following:

- RHEL experience
- Virtualisation
- Job Despatcher (eg MOAB TORQ SGE LSF)
- High Throughput Cluster (aka HPC)
- (IBM) Intel based hardware
- GPFS
- TSM

THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION WITH AN INTERNATIONAL CLIENT FOR 6 MONTHS IN THE FIRST INSTANCE. THE CLIENT IS LOCATED IN LAUSANNE. INFO-TECH WILL PROVIDE ADVICE AND SUPPORT THROUGH YOUR RELOCATION IF YOU ARE WORKING IN SWITZERLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME.
