Linux Systems Administrator - DV Cleared

We currently have a requirement for a Linux Systems Administrator to work on a new 6 months contract in the Gloucestershire area. The role boasts attractive rates of 350 - 450 per day. You will be required to hold DV Clearance for this role.

Skills and Experience

Required Skills

* Linux System Administration (ideally Centos 6.3 or Ubuntu 7.1).
* Experience of Multi-Engine Anti-Virus setups.
* Linux scripting and configuration experience.
* Has experience of, and understands the complexities of OSA, SOA, SOSA, web server, Clusters and VMWare approaches and application.
* Ability to plan, deploy, support, and diagnose real issues for a deployable and experimental environment
* Database knowledge, use, application, limitations and operational selection criteria.
* Perform as part of the management team, reporting into and supporting presentations and structured reporting processes.
* Able to liaise and communicate with a multi-level customer and management structure.

Desired Skills

* Currently holds suitable Security Clearances.
* Understanding of Security requirements and integrity within the Servers/Systems/Linux environment.
* Experience of scripting or programming languages (shell scripting and or perl/python/ruby).
* Sound knowledge of back-up processes and employment of a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP)
* Integration of new technologies with current systems.
* Manages multiple linked databases to include security, data safety and integrity, disaster recovery, and development and implementation of bulk data import/export procedures.
