Linux System Administrator/Hadoop

Projektbeschreibung
On behalf of our client, a large global financial organisation, we are looking for a Linux System Administrator who will join a big data project in Zurich on a 12 months+ contract basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operation and administration of big data platform (~60 Servers)
- Integration and evaluation of new big data and data science technologies
- Integration and maintenance of security controls and platform tooling
- Consultation to application groups on how best to utilise the platform and technologies
KEY SKILLS
- Very strong Linux and Hadoop knowledge
- Experience in managing Hadoop clusters, ideally CDH 5+ (eg HDFS, YARN, Spark, HBase, Cloudera Manager)
- Previous work experience with big data projects
- A strong sense of ownership and initiative
- Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking ability
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to live and work in Switzerland
