Linux Software Development Designer - Embedded

My client, a global Electronics giant is seeking an experienced contractor to join an innovative and dynamic team. This is great opportunity to join a thriving organisation within the electronics space.

The main purpose of the role will be to take responsibility for managing third party suppliers in all OS integration domains such as Boot Loader, Linux Kernel & Linux User Space, focusing on driving the security of Embedded systems (DRM) and take the lead on OS Developments such as Wi-Fi, USB Drivers.

Key Skills:
*Extensive experience within Embedded Software
*Extensive Linux experience (Kernel)
*Experience of working with third party suppliers
*Experience of other disciplines such as electronics and mechanics
*Experience of creating, implementing and testing the design of a system (component or integration level)
*Experience of working at a high conceptual level
*Good English Language skills

Candidates with experience of the following will be highly desirable:
*Android
*Security (DRM, security Algo)

This contract is an initial 6 month contract but is likely to extend beyond this.
