Linux Infrastructure Administrator
Whitehall resources are currently recruiting for a Linux Administrator for our client in Belgium.
Start: 01.09.2017
End: 31.12.2017
Location: Brussels
Languages: English (main); French (second)
The role:
Application Infrastructure Administrator
Operating Systems (Mac, Linux, Unix, MVS, Solaris) and Virtualization (VMWare, Microsoft)
Responsibilities:
- His/her role during this project is to manage the Linux and Unix infrastructure on one side and prepare the data center moves on the other side.
- He/she is in close contact with the developers of the applications during upgrades, tunings or migrations.
- His/her tasks include the configuration and management of LDAP, Solaris zones, Oracle VM, Oracle Enterprise Manager,...
- The deployment of new Servers needed to be more automated using kickstart/automated installer.
- After the initial configuration the server needed to be customized using Ansible.
IT-Skills:
- Ansible, Linux RedHat, Solaris, Solaris ldom, Solaris zone, Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c, Bash, LDAP, Oracle VM, Xen.
- Clear focus first on RedHat Linux knowledge
