Linux and Windows Technical Support Officer

Projektbeschreibung

This technical officer will have experience in configuring and installing JBoss/Oracle applications in both Linux and Windows 2008 environments, and will work closely with IT branch and business stakeholders.

AS A LINUX AND WINDOWS TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

- Installation and configuration support for Windows 2008 environment and IIS; Red Hat Linux environment and JBoss Community 7.1 and/or Red Hat JBoss Enterprise on Apache server; and Oracle database and MSSQL 2008 database.
- Troubleshooting, deploying and implementing integration capabilities and products
- Applying SDLC policies and procedures
- Administering users and providing technical support to an IT project during development, test, training and pre-production
- Providing information and support in technical and non-technical language to project teams, including both oral and written reporting
- Updating the design, installation and configuration documentation as required during the life of the Program
- Developing services to enable integration between systems
- Application development activities for integration of systems
- Working with cross functional teams to meet development deliverables to a tight timeframe

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

- Demonstrated experience in the installation and configuration of Windows 2008 environment and IIS and the Red Hat Linux environment and JBoss Community 7.1 and/or Red Hat JBoss Enterprise on Apache server
- Demonstrated experience in the analysis, design, development and troubleshooting of integration capabilities or products and implementation of SOAP, XSD, XML, XSLT, and XQuery service; and Windows Communications Foundation
- Demonstrated experience in providing technical support to IT experts and users
- Demonstrated experience in SDLC policies and procedures, Java Scripting and SQL queries
- Experience providing knowledge transfer coupled with sound communication and written documentation skills.

It is HIGHLY DESIRABLE for the candidate to have proven knowledge and experience in the following:

- SDLC policies and procedures;
- Working within a team and across teams;
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in integration development work and providing technical support in a Windows and Linux environment, and preferably with some experience working for the Australian Government;
- Some knowledge of JAVA Scripting and SQL queries;
- Knowledge of account management and intergration with Active Driectory; and
- Qualifications including:
- Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) certification
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification
