LINUX ADMINISTRATOR - REDHAT

A global fashion brand is currently seeking a Linux (Redhat) Administrator to work in its London headquarters on an initial 3 month contract. The main remit of the role will be to support and maintain the client's Linux platform as well as providing advice and maintaining a technical relationship with their 3rd party providers.

The RedHat Linux Administrator will be self-motivated, possess excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills and be prepared to do whatever it takes to maintain our hosted and Cloud Linux Estate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supporting, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting the client's Estate as well as providing a level of expertise on cloud based solutions
- Working with the various project teams on the creation and implementation of new services and products
- Working alongside the service desk and other support teams to provide a homogeneous service to the business
- Maintaining the KPI performance of both cloud and hosted platforms
- Ensuring the Linux platform is secure and up to date
- Managing the impact of patching within both platforms

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Linux (Redhat) administration
- Red Hat installation
- SAN Storage

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- VMWare
- Bash Shell Scripting
- Knowledge of Virtual Private Cloud implementations
- Disaster Recovery
