Linux Administrator/Architect (French)

Proteus Europe is searching for an experienced Linux Administrator who has a strong background in designing Linux systems/setups.

Your New role:-

As an architect and Linux specialist you will be working with Sys-admin teams for Solaris 10 on M5K, M9k Solaris and 11 of T4-2
This is a new infrastructure project: working with Linux on VMware RHEL7 in 2 datacenters
RHEL7 deployment via VMware template
Patching RHEL7 (not yet fully implemented on Satellite 6.1) via Satellite 6.2.
One Satellite server production.
VMware Infrastructure managed by another team
User management via Microsoft AD, the latter being managed by the Windows team

Possibilities for the future:
Linux on RHEL7 BareMetal (blade) and not virtualized
Linux RHEL7 another hyperviser VMware
Deploying via Satellite 6.2 and not via template
web RHEL/ApplicationServers in the DMZ

Objectives:
Setting up a Linux-based platform RHEL7
VMware deployment via the method
Improve and automate the installation as much as possible
post-installation and post-configuration of a RHEL server 7
Define or adapt, and implement standards (deployment, filesystem, network, security, policy patching, backup/restore ...) of the new Linux infra
Implementing a centralized management system updates via Satellite 6.2 starting from what has already been started with Satellite 6.1. (Since there is only one satellite production server), provide a solution in order to validate changes (Satellite upgrade, feature test, ...) to a different environment.
Monitoring of RHEL 7 systems via Icinga
Project management and planning to carry out all the implementation
Provide migration strategies and applications config (Weblogic, Apache ...) and the Solaris 10 Servers to 11 Servers RHEL7
Create and update documentation

Your Skills and experience:-

Essential Skills:-
Red Hat Linux 7: installation and administration, Scripting (bash, ansible, puppet), patching, security configuration
VMWare virtualization (....)
Red Hat Satellite 6 (6.1 and 6.2): architecture, implementation, transition from 6.1 to 6.2, capsule ...
Experience with data center Servers (blades, ...)
LVM, SELinux
Expertise development of an architecture/design and standardization of different solutions
Server Hardening: Servers used in the DMZ
Languages: French - Dutch - English: working level
