Job Description

The LIMS Laboratory Systems Technician in QC will assist the senior Chemist in performing product leadership responsibilities by assessing the product from pre-production through manufacturing. Assembling batch record folders, Evaluating assay runs for acceptability by following QC policy. Entering data into LIMS. Participation in team projects for improvements in quality, efficiency and cost savings within QC laboratory. Compliance with quality, regulatory and safety requirements. Interfacing with IS department to connect laboratory instruments to Company's LIS system (LIMS).

BS in Science field or equivalent. IT interfacing and connectivity experience a plus.

Required Skills

Excellent multitasking and organizational skills required. Ability to follow procedure and good problem solving skills needed. Good communication skills a must. Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems required. Ability to train QC personnel in the efficient use of LIS connectivity a plus.

Required Experience

4-5 years experience with laboratory instrumentation, including operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience in a hospital, reference laboratory or in-vitro manufacturing environment. Maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting of Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) a plus. Stat laboratory experience a benefit. Knowledge of evaluating quality control data for acceptance per established criteria guidelines a must.
