Duties:

This position plays a critical leadership role in scientific IT projects to bridge the gap between IT and scientists. This position will support development of validated and non-validated Sharepoint-based document management solutions from the end-user perspective. The goal of each project is to enable the management and retention of important scientific knowledge.

Responsibilities include:
* Perform business analysis to clarify document management needs and scope new projects
* Create and curate meta-data definitions for various document types
* Work with end users to configure Sharepoint and define business processes to meet their needs
* Configure Nintex workflows to meet user needs
* Work with IT and/or vendors to ensure system architecture meets user needs
* Author clear and concise user manuals, SOPs, and training documents
* Plan and oversee user testing activities
* Facilitate the creation of robust deployment plans and end user training
* Work hands-on with end users and IT to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and process issues
* Propose Sharepoint governance policies that meet unique needs of the user community
* Help support other types of R&D software projects through business analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, etc . .

Projects include a validated Sharepoint instance with document review and approval workflows, a more general R&D knowledge base with robust search capabilities, as well as other R&D software systems such as Electronic Lab Notebooks and LIMS.
Skills:

Requirements:

> 5 years of biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience working with drug development document management systems, preferably Sharepoint. Experience defining complex document workflows, multi-layered user access controls, document meta-data and site-provisioning practices. Experience in FDA-regulated environments highly desired. Ability to learn and configure new software quickly to meet specific business needs. Experience defining both process and system requirements. Ability to author complex technical documents clearly and efficiently. This position requires very strong collaboration skills to interact with diverse stakeholders. The ability to organize complex information and communicate clearly is critical. The candidate should be self-directed, comfortable excelling in a fast-paced environment, and multi-tasking.
