Legal Liaison

IT LEGAL AND HR LIAISON

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Understand IT messaging and archiving environments.
- Knowledge of the Clearwell platform including document preservation, collections and review systems and production
- Familiarity with Legal, HR and Security investigations.
- Ability to work with internal and external counsel in order to make eDiscovery and other collections efficient and expedient.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with Legal, IT, HR and Security teams to coordinate accurate and timely response to investigations, legal preservation and document production requests.

Coordinates the workflow of eDiscovery requests from various sources.

Identifies potential relevant sources of key player (custodian) data.

Assists Legal and HR teams in creation of Legal Hold processes.

Assists Legal and HR teams in creation of appropriate search methodology to support eDiscovery requests.

Provides ad-hoc training to internal and external Legal teams in the use of eDiscovery review tools.

Collects forensic evidence using network-based and physical collection protocols and maintains chain of custody throughout the collection and storage process. Tracks and updates evidence tracking repositories.

Acts as a technical advocate to Legal when resources have questions regarding collection process, procedures, collected evidence, or produced evidence.

Understands procedures to create forensically defensible collections and attests/testifies to forensic process and procedures when necessary.

Utilizes Clearwell, Symantec Discovery Accelerator, Microsoft ECP and other technologies to collect data in response to Legal, HR or other eDiscovery requests.

Stays up-to-date on emerging industry standards. Identifies, evaluates, conducts, schedules and leads technical analyses functions to ensure all applicable IT security requirements are met.

Provides technical analysis of requirements necessary for the protection of all information processed, stored or transmitted by systems.
