Legal Counsel- Commercial and IT/In-house Lawyer- Commercial

I am recruiting for someone to join the Legal Counsel team for a large telecommunications company working within the Commercial and IT department on a contractual basis.

The work in this position will be varied and often innovative in a fast paced environment. You will be supporting major joint venture agreements, high value technology and outsourcing projects and wholesale business partners, as well as many other things that may crop up within the business.

Responsibilities will include;
*Providing high quality legal advice across a wide range of technology and commercial matters.
*Taking responsibility for delivering legal projects and ensuring risk and reward are appropriately balanced.
*Contribute to the successful management of on-going strategic legal relationships.
*Assist in identifying and managing legal and commercial risk in the business by improving processes on an on-going basis.
*Provide practical and business focused legal advice and set direction in dealing with disputes.

Experience required for the role;
*Lawyer Qualified in the UK or similar jurisdiction.
*Legal experience within technology and commercial contracting.
*Confidence in navigating large transactional documentation.
*Experience of outsourcing, supplier and licensing agreements.
*Ability to manage a number of matters with minimum supervision.
*Experience in managing disputes, corporate arrangements and property matters.
*Ability to clearly explain legal and commercial issues and influence stakeholders.
