Legal Counsel - 6 Month Contract - Large Financial Client

DBFS are currently recruiting for a legal counsel with 7-10 PQE to join a large financial organisation based in London on an initial 6 month contract.

7-10 PQE role

* Ideally qualified/admitted to practice in an EU jurisdiction

* Candidate should ideally have experience at a major law firm in the finance or financial regulatory group, and in-house at a major financial institution.

* Candidate must be familiar with the EU financial services regulatory environment.

* Candidate must have regulatory change project experience (examples of projects could be AIFMD/UCITS V/Volcker/BRRD/contracts database/MiFID I).

* Familiarity with MiFID II and MAR would be an advantage, but not essential - however, the candidate would be expected to get up to speed quickly on MiFID II/MAR.

* Knowledge of regulated financial products is an advantage.

* Candidate must be able to prioritise, identify the most important issues, and "connect the dots" and identify common themes arising from MiFID II implementation across a range of diverse business lines.
