Allegis Group Services are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

In the role you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

M&IB Finance Systems Control Team is the Finance business owner of the M&IB supported ledgers and MI platforms (principally the SGL and Khalix), ensuring effective and efficient business processes and controls are in place to identify and manage issues and promote data quality and control throughout M&IB Finance. The team is responsible for the data integrity and reconciliation controls, financial control of the central shared Ledger balance sheet (shared nostros etc.) as well as overall control of the M&IB ledger processing environment. In addition it is responsible for the data integrity of the MI data in Khalix and centrally managed processes in Khalix. Furthermore it acts as the gatekeeper for change and new activities coming on to the M&IB managed ledger and MI systems infrastructure.

Essential Requirements

- Support, Statutory Consolidation or Group Reporting role
- Working in a Financial control function
- Experience of improving and managing data quality
- Experience of working in multi disciplined teams across several geographies, with excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Experience of improving existing systems and processes and where necessary challenging existing processes.
- Systems skills including strong understanding of ledgers, especially in relation financial markets and corporate banking products
- Excellent understanding of financial market and corporate client banking and its drivers
- Understanding of a Bank's Financial Statements
- Sound analytical and mathematical skills, with financial controls knowledge and experience
- Part Qualified Accountant/Qualified (any institute) or qualified by related experience with strong record of application within a business environment.

Desirable:

- Experience of investigating and probing issues with cross-divisional and cross department impact
- Knowledge of RBS Group and M&IB systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access and/or database applications
- Oracle experience
- Strong understanding of IFRS Accounting Standards
