Learning Designer - E Learning

Design Learning Consultant - E-learning needed for a FTSE 100 Company - Northampton on a 8-12 month fixed term contract.

We provide highly renowned services and solutions to a variety of sectors and we require a Design Learning Consultant to work in Capita Learning and Development in Northampton.

The Blended Learning Team, based in Northampton, provide learning consultancy and leading edge learning solutions to corporate, local government and Capita group clients. The team are responsible for creating web based E-learning programmes which are implemented as stand alone solutions or used to underpin and reinforce traditional face-to-face training.

We are looking for a Learning Designer to help develop our E-learning and other web based products to the highest standard. We are a focussed hard working team, keen to develop our products and services for our clients.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role will be:- * Design and development of E-learning and other online training materials to detailed storyboard level
* Working within an E-learning design team reporting to the Senior Learning Designer
* Using existing Instructional Design theory to create storyboards, scripts and course content (including bespoke and customised E-learning, software simulations and blended learning)
* Conducting quality assurance and user acceptance testing on training materials created to ensure products meet client requirements
* Researching, evaluating, and recommending solutions to improve product functionality and impact
* Specification and sourcing of graphics and other visual requirements for development
* Designing a range of specific learning solutions, including workshops and E-learning solutions
* Specifying the high level requirements for the programmes including measurable learning objectives and associated assessment strategies
* Creating detailed specifications from requirements to determine the structure, learning strategies and components for each programme
* Working with SMEs to elicit content and agree appropriate structure, learning strategies and components
* Developing all assets associated with the programme including slides, handouts, workbooks, trainer notes, assessment and online materials

Essential Skills

* Experienced in developing distance learning materials, specifically bespoke online solutions and elearning
* An understanding of training theories, methodologies and techniques (E-learning)
* Ability to be creative whilst working to strict deadlines
* Strong knowledge of and several years of experience using E-learning development tools. Specifically experience of using rapid development tools such as Storyline, Articulate and Capitivate
* Basic to intermediate HTML/XHTML/CSS/DreamWeaver knowledge
* Working with and to quality guidelines/style guides
