Reporting to the Learning & Development Business Partner, the Learning Manager will be a critical part of the Commercial Learning & Development Team.

Commercial Learning & Development are responsible for providing a broad range of learning solutions across multiple sites and business areas in, enabling our population to develop and maintain the competency and regulatory requirements to perform their role.

Working with the L&D Business Partner, the Learning Manager will inform the scoping of BU learning requirements and take the lead in the development and deployment of a learning solution/s through the L&D operating model.

The Learning Manager will be clear as to the outcome required, how the need links to the BU Commercial priorities and how success will be measured. They will mobilise the virtual team to produce a learning solution proposal and manage the solution build from the L measuring and monitoring if the desired impact has been achieved.

Solutions deployed will range from large scale interventions across a function/role to specific 121 and will cover all mediums from digital media, blended learning, classroom, to coaching and self managed learning.

* Understand and define learning and performance gaps collaborating with the L&D Business Partner and BU stakeholders.
* Mobilise the virtual team to create the learning proposal that closes the required performance gap, ensuring that solution is balanced to achieve an appropriate ROI
* Lead the virtual team to create and deliver the learning solution proposal that meets the standards and criteria in place.
* Embrace a culture of cost efficiency by managing to the agreed budget and identifying and implementing cost-effective work practices whilst leading the virtual team.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business and external entities where applicable.
* Ensure that assigned L&D projects are delivered on time, within budget, in adherence with L tracking key milestones; monitoring efforts on a regular basis; identifying resource needs; performing quality reviews and escalating issues where appropriate.
* The job holder will coordinate project communication with all key stakeholders
* The role will ensure that the projects are aligned with the overall solutions strategy outlined by the Learning & Development Business Partner
* The role will work across L&D to ensure that existing solutions are considered to manage costs, remove duplication and work consistently across core requirements
* Develop expertise in Learning and Development solutions and through on-job observations and personal self-directed learning in order to remain current and in line with industry best practice.

* Representatives from external partner organisations

* Professional qualifications in HR (eg CIPD/City and Guilds), training, psychology or organisational development would be an added advantage.
* Previous experience in designing and developing L methodologies.
* Ability to design and develop innovative and effective learning solutions
* Experience of change implementation.
* Effective facilitator and learning coach to lead virtual team and provide constructive developmental feedback.
* Ability to lead virtual team to deliver solution within the Time to Market parameters.
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Ability to translate strategic requirements into credible and impactful learning solutions that demonstrate an effective ROI.
* A passion for helping people learn and grow.
* Inspirational communication - verbal and written.
* Keen to develop in a learning and development environment.
* Ability to build good working relationships.
* Able to work using own initiative.
