Our client, a leading UK Government department is seeking a Learning and Development Manager on a contract basis.

This is a contract role paying up to £725 Ltd per day Ltd on a 6 month contract initially

Key Skills:
Experience in implementing L&D strategies to drive organizational improvement
Significant experience of technical, operational training delivery as well as management and leadership development
Experience in the design and implementation of L&D structures for optimal delivery and performance
Knows the L&D field, what 'thought leaders' and benchmark organisations are doing in L&D and considers how lessons may apply to a Government Agency environment
Understanding of programme/project management principles and governance arrangements
Public Sector/Government

Key tasks and deliverables:

Identification of L
Analysis of the leadership development requirements and the profile of demand.
Analysis of the vehicle and driver training requirements from within Operations.
Scope and scale of the L&D and training requirements that transformation programmes necessitate (MOT2, Next Generation Testing, Next Generation Enforcement, the future Driving Test) and the profile of this demand in 2015.

Recommendation regarding the future approach to leadership development and senior team learning, the role of Civil Service Learning and the link to talent and succession management strategies.

Recommendation regarding the future approach to technical training and exploration of optimum delivery mechanisms (internal, external training provision, outsourcing)

Identification of the appropriate learning solutions that anticipate and respond to planned organisational changes. Investigation of requirements for bespoke versus standardised solutions and outline the cost implications and criteria for where these solutions are used to best effect within the organisation.
