Lean Assessor is required to deliver the underpinning knowledge and behaviours for a world class manufacturing Lean Training Programme. The purpose of the role is to ensure all lean training delivery and NVQ assessments are complete to the customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, competent lean practical skills and excellent communication skills; both oral and written.

Typical activities will include:
Assessment of Lean BIT apprenticeship programme. Ensuring learners acquire the requisite knowledge, skills and understanding in line with the criterion outcomes. This will require the identification of learning needs within the group; creating a positive attitude to learning; management of learner dynamics and a self-evaluation of assessment methodologies.
Management of the learning process. This will require the use of methods of delivery that are appropriate to the group; organising the learning environment to assist in the learning process; the use of appropriate language; the use of appropriate resources; the use of appropriate methods to assess learning and the encouragement of feedback from learners through debriefs and tutorial sessions.
Assessment of learning through formative and summative assessment. This will require the analysis, identification and confirmation of strengths and weaknesses of learners; the giving of constructive feedback on progress to learners; reporting on their performance in consultation with the Internal Verifier an evaluation/review of teaching and learning and assessment against an NVQ where appropriate.
Taking the responsibility for the safe upkeep of specified resources and training facilities whilst on internal customer premises.
Production of reports in a timely manner that are accurate, relevant and contribute to the development of the individual and the training system.
The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Knowledge of lean tools and techniques and operational excellence and how to apply it to the training activities.
Able to demonstrate practical knowledge of implementing lean tools within a business.
Thorough understanding of applying effective and engaging delivery to learners.
Minimum level 2 BIT qualification.
Assessor License.
A recognised Training qualification.
Valid and Clean driving license.
