Working with South Wales' leading software businesses, Acorn is pleased to offer a fast track Bootcamp aimed at high achieving graduates in STEM subjects including Maths, Physics, Engineering, Applied Science and Computer Science/Computer related studies.

We are able to offer an intense six week training programme with full mentoring from industry leading professionals, access to real world technical projects with a full contract of employment from a product based development company in the travel sector and banking and finance software houses in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport.

Employment in the IT software industry is expected to grow at nearly five times the UK average over the next decade. Acorn is looking to develop new entrants into a market that is suffering from a current skills shortage problem knowing that there are multiple opportunities with advanced career progression within 2 years. There has never been a better time to enter this dynamic and rewarding industry.

Your role after completion will include:

*To learn how to support the design, code and test new features and system components, using agreed standards and tools. To take part in the review of requirements and specifications and contribute to code and design reviews.
*To learn how to undertake analysis and design of new features and contribute to the analysis and design of larger systems.
*To learn how to produce detailed designs including for example: physical data flows, file layouts, common routines and utilities, and application specifications or prototypes.
*Develop the skills to Identify and resolve issues with applications, following agreed procedures.

Graduates completing the Bootcamp will have industry knowledge of:

*C#. VB.NET, and the .NET platform
*ASP.NET (knowledge of ASP.NET MVC)
*XML & web services
*SQL Server
*WCF & Web API
*Java

The first course will begin on Monday 9th November 2015 for six weeks, Monday to Friday, 09:00am - 5:30pm at Acorn's Cardiff branch. Please apply ASAP for remaining places.
