Lead Transformer Engineer

Lead Transformer Engineer - Permanent - Wiltshire

I have a vacancy for a Lead Engineer to take responsibility for technical and managerial aspects of a leading energy company's Transformers Section for one of their key sites in Wiltshire. This is a challenging role which will suit an experienced engineer with thorough knowledge of tranformer design and operation. The main responsibilities will be to provide technical support to the generating stations with regards to all aspects of transformers, cables, DC systems and earthing. Liaising with station engineers and other EC&I engineers, you will support them with issues including specificaiton of new plant, recommendations for operation of existing plant, fault investigations and represent the company in discussions with manufacturers.

You will also have direct responsibility for an Assistant Electrical Engineer and be playing a key role in supporting him with his development.

* Degree educated in electrical or relevant subject

* Thorough konwledge of transformer design and operation

* Knowledge of the relevant standard associated with transformer design and testing

* Ability to fault investigate and analyse data

* Good communication skills

* Membership of a Professional Institution or working towards membership

Salary will depend upon level of experience up to £60,000 per annum.
