LEAD SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - CANDIDATE SCREENING AND RECRUITING

Our team needs to grow dramatically over the next number of months and we would like to bring on an experienced engineering lead or manager to help us hire great talent.

Candidate located in WA state preferred, but may have the option to work remotely.

Responsibilities include: reviewing résumés to identify potential candidates, conducting phone screens to assess if candidates meet a minimum technical bar, working with team hiring managers to determine potential slotting of candidate within team, working with our recruiting team and hiring managers to improve and streamline the overall screening process over time.

The successful candidate will have all of the following characteristics (REQUIRED):

- A proven track record as a good judge of talent
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Experience as a team lead or a manager
- Experience as a team hiring manager (made team hiring decisions based on interview feedback)
- Previous large-scale software enterprise experience

Other characteristics that are strongly desired:

- Strong C++ and data structures coding skills/history (is doing or has done significant coding in the past)
- Familiarity with fundamental engineering mathematical skills such as linear algebra, signal processing or statistics
- Ability to assess "minimum bar" technical aptitude of candidates
- Ability to assess "team fit" qualities of candidates
- Experience working through one or more complete product cycles
- Has been a manager of managers
