Lead or Senior VHDL/FPGA/Digital Electronics Verification Engineer

We're looking for a Lead VHDL Verification Engineer to work with a global aviation company in Cheltenham. You'll be responsible for the certification of Airborne Hardware. You will act as the technical focal point for all aspects of FPGA/ASIC verification, provide hands-on leadership and oversee all verification and test activities ensuring compliance with DO254 Hardware Safety Critical Standards.

Role Activities will include:
Authoring of FPGA Verification test procedures to internal development processes for the certification of Airborne Hardware.
Development of VHDL test cases against a set of requirements to show 100% requirements test coverage.
Create trace Matrix linking design requirements and associated test case.
Running of RTL and gate level simulations on FPGA designs and documenting results in a formal test report document.
Analysis of FPGA design test results and identifying areas of non-compliance to design specification.
Perform Elemental Analysis of FPGA code and create test solutions or justifications to give 100% test code coverage.

Skills and Experience required:
Extensive experience of design and verification of complex FPGA designs using VHDL
Experience of generating requirements based test cases and creating traceability reports
Familiarity with self-checking test benches
Extensive knowledge of ModelSim test benching environment
Extensive Knowledge of Altera Quartus design tools and Altera Stratix FPGAs
Ability to understand and work to internal development processes
Good appreciation of configuration control methods and working knowledge of formal configuration control tools
