Lead Senior Authorised Person (SAP)

A global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Lead Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to work on its offshore wind farm project in the UK. The individual will be required to start this role approx. 1st January 2016 for a 12 month duration with the possibility of further extensions. Work pattern: 14/14 working approx. 10 - 12hrs a day. Weekend work should be expected. The Lead Senior Authorised Person (SAP) will also be required to act as single point of contact.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior Authorised Persons:

- Participation in Design Risk Assessments, HAZOP, HAZID, FAT etc.
- Inputs to Guidance Notes to the clients Electrical Safety Rules
- Inputs to the onshore substation energisation and commissioning program & plan
- Define Onshore Substation safety procedures for electrical matters
- Implement an Onshore Substation permit to system for clients Electrical Safety Rules
- Coordinate overall HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction stages
- Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, on/offshore substations and associated HV/LV plant and
- equipment
- Oversee all Onshore Substation MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and
- integrity of the HV network, including LV ancillaries
- Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the
- process works effectively
- Outage management and network control
- Prepare and check high voltage switching schedules

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Lead SAP 400 KV/Control Engineer
- Through experience as 400 kV Senior Authorised Person (SAP) & Control Engineer (CE) operating under company HV Electrical safety rules
- Managing SAP/CE project organisation for on-going offshore substations and WTG's
- Responsible for ensuring compliancy with clients Electrical Safety Rules throughout the overall project
- Responsible for electrical issue's accordingly to the affected Country's legislation and regulation
- Single point of contact towards National Grid during energisation and commissioning phase
- High technical skills and insight in on/offshore substations & WTG's energisation and commissioning activities, including termination and testing/export cables

The Consultant must bring his or her own PC with MS Office 2007 software and mobile telephone.
