ROLE - Lead Project Manager - Insurance - Solvency - Bristol - £510/day

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

Our client, a leading UK retail bank require the services of a Lead Project Manager to work on a project aimed to implement process improvements within the Solvency II production runs and deliver regulatory reporting capability for SII into the Insurance Finance function.

CORE SKILLS

- Experience in leading and delivering regulatory and legal projects within a Financial Services environment
- Experience in dealing with a teams based in multiple locations.
- A proven track record of creating and publishing agreed definitions for a project ensuring the buy-in of project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Experience of using commercial awareness to design more complex project definitions.
- Experience in communication of all project requirements to project members and department managers impacted by the development.
- A track record of continually assessing the progress of a project and pre-empting problems by identifying change requirements.
- Experience in managing cost, timescale, quality and benefits realisation requirements with the agreement of project sponsors
- Experience in defining project governance including roles required within the project team and negotiating to ensure the appropriate positions are filled with appropriately qualified members.
- Strong understanding of the requirements for project standards and documentation including timelines, status/risk/issue reporting and communication, exception reporting and project sign off.
- Experience of managing individual project risks into a wider multi-project environment.
- Experience of building strong working relationships with, and managing  third party suppliers, contract staff, etc., working within a project.
- Experience of financial management of Project budgets
- Qualification (or equivalent experience) in management and/or formal project/programme management qualification.
- 4-6+ years experience in Project Management with delivery track record

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Understanding of SII Regulatory Regime including Pillar 1 Production, Pillar 2 Governance and Pillar 3 Disclosure.
- Experience of IMAP and/or SII Result Production Processes
- Background knowledge of the Regulatory and Legislative text for Interim Measures and Full Submission consultation papers.
