LEAD PROJECT MANAGER - COMMERCIAL BANKING PRODUCTS - 6 MONTHS - EDINBURGH

A top retail bank based in Edinburgh currently requires a Project Manager to join a Banking Transformation Programme for an initial 6 month period.

PROJECT OUTLINE

This role will require a Lead Project Manager with a sound understanding of standard Change disciplines and a proven ability to work with stakeholders at all levels. The role will be working with a core team of SMEs from the Commercial Banking Operations Business, Business Analysts and under the direction of a Change Lead.

The role also requires the project manager to provide guidance and facilitation to shape potential change to business areas utilising project management tools. Other key skills are effective communication, self motivated, proactive with attention to detail and business partnering. The role will require working between London and Edinburgh sites.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure Change Management Approach is adhered to
- Undertake initial impact assessments, define the scope and deliverables for workstreams
- Plan and monitor workstreams. Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action where necessary
- Manage a project RAID log, project plan, resource tracker and feed into regular risk and governance calls
- Feed updates into overall communications plan, stakeholder plan and provide regular updates to key stakeholders
- Report into and escalate to the Programme Manager for each workstream
- Be responsible for change control and Lessons Learned reporting and implementation
- Be responsible for overall project governance and administration
- Role may involve management of more than 1 project within the wider programme

KEY SKILLS

- Strong Project Management experience
- Previous experience of Commercial Banking would be an advantage
