Lead Project Manager

OUR DIRECT CLIENT, A FORTUNE 500 COMPANY IN PORTLAND, OR, IS LOOKING FOR AN IT PROJECT MANAGER FOR A 1 YEAR CONTRACT POSITION WITH LIKELY EXTENSIONS. YOUR WILL LEAD AN INITIATIVE TO REDUCE DEFECT RATES IN ONE OF THEIR CRITICAL ELECTRIC INDUSTRY ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS. A MINIMUM OF FIVE YEARS PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED, WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF DELIVERING COMPLEX APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN LARGE CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTS. IN ADDITION, A STRONG BACKGROUND IN QUALITY ASSURANCE AS APPLIED TO SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE. EXPERIENCE USING AND/OR MANAGING HP QUALITY CENTER AND HIGH LEVEL TESTING DESIGN IS HIGHLY DESIRED SDLC EXPERIENCE STRONGLY DESIRED

Overtime: straight time
-5+ years project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects in large corporate environments.
- Strong background with project management and software system testing in an electric utility environment
- Experience using and managing the HP Quality Center application
- Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and is comfortable interacting with all levels of management.
- Exhibit leadership qualities that enable them to motivate the project team to achieve outstanding results.
- General understanding of various technologies and technical concepts that could include: SDLC, QA testing, and HP Quality Center.
