Lead Product Manager

Our client, a well known government organisation is currently in need of a Lead Product Manager who will define the end to end Product needs that will deliver maximum value to all in scope customer segments and internal and external stakeholders. The main objective is to significantly improve customer experience and deliver cost efficient services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support and manage a number of program staff and lead the Customer requirements definition activity for the program.
- Lead the User Interface and Experience design activities.
- Analyse issues arising from investigations into requirements and problems, and identifies available options for consideration.
- Reviews the current As Is situation and customer documentation and develop the desired To Be situation to meet new customer requirements.
- Prepare reports and concept papers for management consideration.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with key internal/external stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations and suggestions into detailed design and implementation phases of the program to ensure the customer requirements are satisfied.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Extensive record in PRODUCT MANAGEMENT and User Interface Design with at least 8+ years Product experience and a minimum of 5 years experience in PROJECT MANAGEMENT.
- Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline, computer science or MBA.
- Extensive experience in interpreting and translating complex customer, business process and operating requirements into clearly articulated requirements definition.
- Experience in producing Tender Documents.
- Extensive experience in interpreting and translating complex customer terms into clear and succinct advice and/or recommendations.
- Strong customer/financial analysis capability, report writing and presentation skills with emphasis on clearly articulating customer requirements.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills especially Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Superior interpersonal skills coupled with analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
