LEAD JAVA DEVELOPER - JAVA 7, SPRING, TDD, MICROSERVICES - SCIENCE AND RESEARCH

Lead Java Developer and software craftsman required for highly reputable science and research company based in Oxford.

The Lead Java Developer will be passionate about software development and technology, possess demonstrable technical and problem solving skills as well as strong knowledge of the full software development life cycle including Agile/Lean development processes. The Lead Java Developer will consider themselves a programmer first and foremost, but will have demonstrable experience of leading both onshore and offshore Agile teams.

The Lead Java Developer will be working on a suite of Greenfield web applications which are paving the way to innovation by walking right on the cutting-edge between Science and Technology. The applications will be rolled out to thousands of global scientific research companies during Q1 of 2015, with a view to going live in Q2.

The successful Lead Java Developer will possess some or all of the following:

Java 7

Spring/Spring MVC

Team Lead/Line Management/People Management experience

Agile/TDD/BDD/Lean

JBoss 7

RESTful web services

Microservice architecture

Go

RSpec/Capybara/Cucumber
