Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE OF LEAD JAVA DEVELOPER

The project objective is to provide an answer to important challenges in the area of Corporate Car, on a horizon of 3 to 5 years, and primarily in the field of Globalized Fleet. It is expected to optimize the fleet management business in terms of processes, data and tools. Technologies involved: Java, SharePoint, and ASP.NET

TASKS REQUIRED OF THE LEAD JAVA DEVELOPER

The mission is to work out the development framework and implement the functional design provided by analysts and propose how to apply the most efficient yet flexible way to implement the design. Progress reporting will be towards both the project manager and the lead architect.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED OF THE LEAD JAVA DEVELOPER

- Lead Development experience of 4 years
- Solid knowledge of OO and Design patterns
- Good knowledge of UML
- Experience in working with JUnit (Unit test and integration tests) and knowledge of TDD (Test driven development)
- Strong knowledge of J2EE J2SE
- Strong knowledge of Spring and Hibernate (for the middle-tier services, DAO, Transactions, Spring AOP.
- Experience with Oracle
- Component orientation (The architecture is composed out of components wired by spring)
- Good knowledge on Struts, JBC, JSTL, Servelets and JSP specification (2.3/2.4)
- Developing Eclipse
- ANT
- Weblogic

ADDITIONAL SKILLS CONSIDERED A PLUS

- Javamail and activiation-framework API
- Jakarta-Commons
- POI
- Eclipse WTP
- .NET
- Functional knowledge of insurance and especially P&C

LANGUAGES REQUIRED

- English and French or Dutch (Dutch is Preffered)
