Lead Floor Walker

We currently have an opportunity for a Lead Floor Walker to join our project team, working on our clients site in London. This contract will initially be for 3 months with the possibility of extension. A background in a Financial Services environment is required for this role and flexibility is required regarding shift patterns and some travel within the UK.

The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers providing floor walking support to end users, organising engineers, etc. Key responsibilities will include:

- Oversee and organise team of on-site floor walkers
- Ensure all defined processes, including logging of calls and visiting users are correctly implemented.
- Act as technical escalation point for engineers
- Providing onsite 2nd line fault diagnosis and resolution
- Providing fault analysis to various core operating systems, platforms and applications
- Diagnose hardware faults and provide both desk side support to business areas within the support remit
- Provide expertise in all aspects of IT desktop fault function and deployment of all new kit and peripherals under the Installs, Moves and Changes Environment (IMAC)

Skills and Experience Required:

- Outstanding customer service, presentation, organisational & communication skills
- Highly motivated and self sufficient
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 including Outlook, Project & Visio
- Experience providing remote fault analysis, via verbal communication and IT remote control tools
- At least 12 months in a previous lead role in Desktop Support/Floor Walking Support position
- At least 36 months in a previous role in Desktop Support/Floor Walking Support position
- Previous Banking experience
- Hardware accreditations or experience of Lenovo or Dell equipment
- MCP Qualifications
